She had an appointment with the cardiologist today and so far they still don't have to put her on medication for her heart and they are hoping they can go the full six months before they do the heart operation. I sort of wish they would get it done and out of the way, but they know best, so if the doctors say it's better to wait, then wait we'll do.
We received the Down Syndrome test results on Monday 3/16 and it turns out she does indeed have Down Syndrome.
As you can imagine it was really difficult for Roxi and I to hear this and I know part of that is being scared of the unknown, but after reading some great books about downs and all of the support from our incredible friends and family, I think we have finally looked past the down syndrome and realize, it doesn't change a thing or how much we love Lexi and we will do everything in our power to make sure she turns out to be the best person she could possibly be.
Again, I want to thank all of our great friends and family, including all of my fantastic and supportive friends at TSG, Microsoft and everyone involved in the event industry (You know who you are). This experience has made me realize just how blessed I am to have the job, friends, family I do.
Thank you
