It's been a few great weeks and Lexi is still doing awesome and the only real change we've had to do was switch her over to special formula called Alimentum from Similac. It's a hypoallergenic formula and so far she seems to like it and her stomach problems have gone away and she's now up to a whopping 8.5 pounds.
Last Tuesday we had an appointment with the cardiologists and her heart is still not showing signs of heart failure, which sounds like a great thing, but it might be a sign of another issue with her lungs. We return to the cardiologist on 4/21 and if she is still looking good, they will schedule an appointment to perform a test on her, where they insert a scope up the main artery starting at her leg, all the way up to her heart, so they can inspect everything to make sure there is no issue.
If there is an issue, they will need to perform the heart surgery sooner than planned and if not, they will still do the heart surgery, but not until she is 6 months old. I'm pretty confident that she is just doing great and they will do the heart surgery as planned at 6 months.
I couldn't ask for a better baby and I feel blessed that I have such a beautiful daughter.
