Today Lexi had her 2 week checkup with the Cardiologist and she gained 11.5 ounces and she is now one ounce away from 10 lbs at 9lbs 15oz.
We talked to the doctor about it taking longer for her to eat, sweating and the heavy breathing and he said it was normal for a baby with this heart condition, but he did put her on a new medicine called captopril, so she now takes furosemide twice a day and captopril three times a day and this should help with the issues.
Her next appointment with the cardiologist is in two weeks on June 9th and we may have the date of her heart surgery at that time, which is still looking like late July to August.
I’m lucky enough to spend the next week on vacation, hopefully doing a lot of the below with my baby
