Last Surgery For The Year

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog and I apologize for that, but I’ve been a little lazier than normal and haven’t gotten to it.

Today was Lexis last surgery of the year and hopefully the last surgery for the rest of her life.

Her eyes started to turn in around six months ago and today they fixed her up and she’s now sleeping comfortably at home. Her eyes are still really red and will be for a few days and we have to give her medicated eye drops for a week, but after that her eyes should be straight and they shouldn’t have to touch them again.

Here are a couple of pictures right before surgery and right after.

It’s been a long year with a total of three surgeries. I’m sure my insurance company is loving me, but I don’t feel like I’m getting ripped off every month when I send them $450 dollars anymore, now that we’ve spent close to a half million dollars over the last 11 months.

Lexis doing great and she’s now up to 17lbs 9ozs and 28.5 ins long. She has a great personality and loves to play with her toys and absolutely loves her Jumperoo. She’s on a great sleeping schedule from around 7-8pm to 7-8am and she rarely cries, but she has started to throw little tantrums when she doesn’t get what she wants (sort of like her mom J). She’s still toothless, but still likes to chew on everything she gets her hands on, including me.

Here are a few pictures that we’ve taken over the last few months.
