As soon as we arrived at Children's this morning, we met with Lexis Nurse (Amber) and her surgeon and they talked to us about some of the issues they had last night with Lexi. They told us that Lexis blood pressure dropped off quite a bit last night and they had to put her on dopamine to help bring her blood pressure back up and they were a little concerned about her heart and had originally scheduled another echogram, so they could take a look at her heart, but decided later that it wasn't necessary at this time and they were just going to watch her really close to make sure she was ok.
At this time, her blood pressure is still a little low, but it's getting better now that she's on the dopamine.
It sounds like the breathing tube and the IV in her neck won't be coming out for another day or two before, so it doesn't look like we'll be leaving the NICU for a couple more days.
She is peeing like a champ, so that means that the tumor didn't affect her right kidney, which is great news and they have her on a morphine drip, so she's pretty out of it and looks like she's sleeping really well.
This is currently my favorite picture of Lexi
